Graduate Student Assistant (Hourly)

The Asian American Cultural Center is looking for a part-time hourly graduate student assistant (GSA) for the Academic Year 2022-2023. The student will be required to work a minimum of 10 hours per week on average.

Description

The Asian American Cultural Center Graduate Student Assistant will work 10 hours a week and report directly to the Assistant Director. This position will be responsible for assisting in the coordination and advising of the various AACC-affiliated student organizations. The GSA will have the opportunity to use their passion for diversity, equity, and inclusion in supporting students’ intersecting identities, supporting AACC programs and events, and center operations. There will also be an opportunity for the GSA intern to create their own projects, keeping to the theme of student development.

Salary

$15 per hour

Duties

  • Assist with the advising of AACC affiliated student organizations
  • Assist in the creation of the social and developmental activities for the AACC interns and student assistants
  • Co-coordinate professional development logistics, including outreach, scheduling, communication, etc.
  • Support with the AACC social media initiatives
  • Support the AACC team in center operations
  • Assist in the assessment efforts for the AACC programs including developing data collection tools, devising creative ways to collect data, and creating an analysis timeline.
  • Other duties as assigned
