AACC, wants to share with all students an opportunity to attend the nations longest student run conference — East Coast Asian American Student Union (ECAASU) that focuses on social issues within the Asian American community is now open. This year it will be held at Harvard University, Cambridge MA and schools across the East Coast send over 6,000 student leaders to participate in this weekend long conference. This is a great opportunity to learn more about the social issues within our community but also build solidarity among other universities in the East Coast. Students that attend this conference are engaged to inspire, educate, and empower others interested in Asian American and Pacific Islander issues. Please contact merz lim @ ml959@echo.rutgers.edu to register.

AACC’s annual showcase celebrating Pan Asian New Year, this festival features various student organizational performances, small activities for all ages, free food and professional performances done by Soh Daiko (Taiko Drumming group) and Sattriya Dance Company (Indian Traditional style dance) . Although this festival will be celebrated only one day on our campus, our goal is for students of various cultural backgrounds to come and enjoy the Lunar New Year Festival and gain an understanding of this cultural event. If you have any questions please contact AACC at 848.445.8043 or aacc.rutgers@gmail.com
